The verge tiles look so clean and sharp honestly obsessed! Pat and the lads were in and out no fuss. Only thing — comms could've been a bit quicker mid-job but the finished result is literaly immaculate. Would 100% recommend Barrow valley roofing!

The flat roof on the back extension of our house, which we had done maybe fifteen or sixteen years ago by some lad from Tullow who I won't name, had been giving us bother for the last two winters at least, soft spots in it, a bit of pooling after heavy rain, and the missus was on to me constantly about getting it sorted, and I kept putting it off the way you do, because you hear so many stories about fellas who come in, do a half job, take the money and you're back to square one before the year is out, and I had that happen before with a chimney repair years back, a different crowd entirely, nothing to do with Pat's lot, but it put me off for a while, anyway a neighbour of mine over near Borris mentioned Barrow valley roofing and said Pat had done a full reroof for him and he was very happy, so I rang them, Pat came out himself, had a look, gave me a straight price, no messing, and they were back within the week to do the work, two of them on it for the day, and what I will say is the roof that's on there now is a completely different thing, it's neat, it's clean, the finish around the edges and the upstands is tidy, everything looks like it belongs there, and it hasn't given a drop of trouble since, even after the weather we had in January, I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

Pat came out to quote on a Tuesday, had the written price to me by Thursday. Work was booked in for the following week. Two lads arrived Monday morning — Kevin and one other — and were up on the roof within the hour. They worked two full days. Slates replaced, flashing resealed around the chimney, and the guttering at the back sorted. I have lived in this house forty-one years and the roof has not been touched properly since. My daughter was visiting with the grandchildren and she remarked how tidy they left everything. Happy enough with barrow valley roofing.

Had Pat out to look at the gutters along the back of the house — they were pulling away from the fascia in one corner and leaking badly every time it rained. When his lad got up on the ladder, they found the previous bracket fixings had gone into rotten timber behind the fascia board, so that section needed to be replaced before the guttering could be reattached properly. Pat flagged it, gave me a straight explanation, and they sorted it the same day without making a meal of it. The repair itself is solid, no more pooling along the back wall. The one thing I would say is that the initial call-back took a couple of days, which left me chasing slightly. Work itself was well done and fairly priced. Would use Barrow Valley Roofing again.
