Had a fellow from a different outfit look at the damage after the January storms — gave us a vague quote and we never heard from him again. Mike's lads were the opposite. Showed up when they said, got straight to work, and the repaired section looks the same as the rest of the roof. Neighbour had a similar job done last year by someone else and is still chasing them over a leak. No such issues here. Four stars only becuase I'd have liked a brief written summary of what exactly was replaced, just for the records.

I am genuinely organised by nature — I like to know what is happening, when, and why — and Mike matched that energy completely. Before the lads even started on the shed roof, he rang me to confirm the exact morning they would arrive, what materials were going in, and roughly how long it would take. No vague 'we'll be there sometime next week' nonsense. During the work itself, he checked in once to let me know they had found a bit of soft timber underneath that needed sorting, explained what they were doing about it, and gave me an updated finish time. That kind of clear, proactive communication is rarer than it should be with tradespeople. The shed roof itself looks excellent, but honestly it is the no-fuss, straightforward communication from Mike that will have me recommending Proven Roofing to everyone I know.
